Washington Drive-Ins

Washington has five drive-in theaters, four clustered on the peninsulas and islands of Puget Sound and one outlier in the northeast corner near the Canadian border. Most operate from spring through October, though the Blue Fox runs year-round.

The Rodeo Triple Drive-in in Bremerton is the largest, with three screens and room for 1,000 cars on the Kitsap Peninsula. Open since 1949, it shows double features on each screen during the season. Nearby on Whidbey Island, the Blue Fox Drive-in in Oak Harbor is one of the few drive-ins in the Pacific Northwest that stays open all year, and it also features go-karts, an arcade, and a pizzeria.

On the Olympic Peninsula, the Skyline Drive-in in Shelton has been running since 1964, while the Wheel-in Motor Movie in Port Townsend holds just 154 cars, making it one of the smallest drive-ins in the region. Both run Friday-through-Sunday schedules.

The Auto Vue Drive-in Theatre in Colville is the geographic outlier, the only drive-in on the eastern side of the state. New owners took over in 2024 and are bringing fresh energy to this 1953 theater in Washington's remote northeast corner.
