Oregon Drive-Ins
Oregon has three drive-in theaters, one near Portland and two in the eastern part of the state.
View All Drive-InsThe 99W Drive-In on Portland Road in Newberg is about 25 miles southwest of Portland and the closest drive-in to the city. Family-owned since 1953, it has a single screen and fits 300 cars. Sound is on 96.5 FM.
The La Grande Drive-In on 20th Street in La Grande sits in the Grande Ronde Valley of eastern Oregon. Also open since 1953, it has one screen and fits 350 cars. The M&F Drive-In on Oregon Route 11 in Milton-Freewater is near the Washington border and has been running since 1954.
All three theaters operate seasonally from spring through fall and broadcast sound on FM radio. Oregon's long summer evenings and mild temperatures make for comfortable drive-in conditions once the sun sets.
