The 99W Drive-in has been family-owned since 1953 and sits right on Portland Road (Highway 99W). It is a single-screen theater with room for 300 cars, running from spring through fall. Sound comes through 96.5 FM, and projection is digital. The drive from downtown Portland takes about 40 minutes depending on traffic, mostly on Highway 99W through Tigard and Sherwood.

The theater has a loyal following in the Portland metro. Weekend shows can fill up during summer, so arriving early is a good idea. The surrounding area offers wineries and farmstands if you want to make an afternoon of it before the movie. Oregon's long summer twilight means shows typically start around 9:00 PM or later in June and July. It is the closest drive-in to Portland and one of only three still operating in the state.
