Indiana Drive-Ins
Indiana has 17 operating drive-in theaters, more than most states and spread evenly enough that most of the state is within an hour's drive of one.
View All Drive-InsIndianapolis has the Tibbs Drive-in, a four-screen operation on the city's west side running March through October. The Skyline Drive-in in Shelbyville and the CenterBrook Drive-in between Martinsville and Mooresville are both within 30 miles of downtown. M.E.L.S Back to the 50's in Thorntown dates to 1946, making it one of the oldest drive-ins in the state.
Northern Indiana is well covered. The 49'er Drive-in in Valparaiso near the Indiana Dunes, the Melody Drive-in in Knox, and the Tri Way Drive-in in Plymouth each run twin or quad screens. The 13-24 Drive-in in Wabash is operated by the Honeywell Arts nonprofit. In the northeast, the Auburn Garrett Drive-in in Garrett and the GQT Huntington Drive-in both serve the Fort Wayne area.
Southern Indiana's largest is the Holiday Drive-in in Rockport with six screens near the Ohio River. The Georgetown Drive-in near Louisville still has working window speakers alongside FM radio, and the Bel-Air Drive-in in Versailles serves the southeast corner of the state.
The Starlite Drive-in in Bloomington and Cinema 67 in Spencer cover the south-central region. The Hummel Drive-in in Winchester and the Lake Shore Drive-in in Monticello round out the east and north-central options.
