View All Drive-InsThe Glendale 9 sits on North 55th Avenue in Glendale, about 15 minutes northwest of downtown Phoenix. Part of the West Wind chain, it has nine screens and is one of the largest drive-ins in the country by screen count. The desert climate allows it to run year-round, making it one of the few drive-ins in the western U.S. that never closes for the season.
Arizona once had more drive-ins, but the Glendale 9 is now the state's only remaining location. Sound is broadcast on FM radio. The theater shows first-run double features nightly on all nine screens.
