Drive-Ins Near Wichita

Wichita is home to the Starlite Twin Drive-in, a two-screen theater on South Hydraulic Street right in the city.

Open since 1953, the Starlite holds 1,300 cars across its two lots and runs one of the longest seasons in Kansas, opening as early as March and showing movies into November. Each screen plays a double feature with a short intermission between films, and sound broadcasts on FM radio. It is the only drive-in in the metro, but with two screens and a long season, there is no shortage of showings. The next closest options are the South Drive-in in Dodge City (about 150 miles west) and the Boulevard in Kansas City (nearly 200 miles northeast).
