Drive-Ins Near San Diego

San Diego's only remaining drive-in is the South Bay Drive-In on Coronado Avenue in Imperial Beach, about 15 minutes south of downtown near the Mexican border.

South Bay has three screens showing double features of first-run movies year-round — nightly in summer, weekends in the off-season. The grounds also host a swap meet on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Sound is on FM radio, and admission is $10 for adults. The Santee Drive-In in the East County closed at the end of 2023, making South Bay the sole drive-in option in the metro area.
