Drive-Ins Near Minneapolis

The Twin Cities metro has one drive-in option: the Elko Drive-in in Elko New Market, about 30 miles south of downtown Minneapolis.

Opened in 2014 next to Elko Speedway, it is the newest drive-in in Minnesota. The single-screen theater runs from May through September and often shares event nights with the adjacent racetrack. Sound broadcasts on FM radio. Beyond the Elko, the next closest options are the Verne Drive-in in Luverne (about 175 miles southwest) and the Sky-Vu in Warren (over 300 miles northwest), making the Elko the only realistic choice for a weeknight outing from the metro.
