Drive-Ins Near Los Angeles

The greater Los Angeles area has four drive-in theaters, all in the Inland Empire and southeast LA County. Paramount Drive-In on Rosecrans Avenue is the only one technically in Los Angeles County.

Paramount runs two 75-foot screens with Barco laser projection and is open daily. East of the city, Rubidoux Drive-In in Jurupa Valley has been operating since 1948, with three screens and its original Art Deco screen tower still standing. Van Buren Drive-In in Riverside, also three screens, is one of the largest drive-ins in Southern California by capacity. Further out, Skyline in Barstow and Smith's Ranch in Twentynine Palms are desert stops along I-15 and near Joshua Tree, respectively.
