The Kenda Drive-In in Marshall is about 120 miles north, a two-hour drive into the hills of Searcy County. Open since 1966, it shows double features on weekends during the season on a single screen with sound on FM radio.

The Stone Drive-In in Mountain View is roughly 110 miles north, in the same stretch of the Ozarks. It runs March through October and has been a fixture in Stone County for decades. The box office opens an hour before showtime.

Neither theater is a quick trip from the capital, but both sit in popular Ozark vacation areas. Visitors heading north for a weekend of hiking, fishing, or folk music in Mountain View can work a drive-in movie into the itinerary without much extra effort.
