Drive-Ins Near Denver

Denver has two drive-in options within reasonable driving distance: one just 15 minutes northeast in Commerce City and another about an hour north in Fort Collins.

The 88 Drive-in on Rosemary Street in Commerce City is the last original drive-in in the metro area, roughly 10 miles from downtown. Open since 1972, it shows two to three movies nightly on a single screen with a 500-car lot. Admission is $10 per person with kids under 12 free. It runs from May through September.

The Holiday Twin Drive-in on South Overland Trail in Fort Collins is about 60 miles north on I-25. Open since 1968, it has two screens, holds 700 cars, and runs from March through October. Pets are welcome and outside food is allowed. Beyond those two, the Mesa Drive-in in Pueblo is about two hours south, and the Comanche in Buena Vista is about two hours southwest at 8,000 feet elevation.
