Open since 1956, Bengies is Maryland's only remaining drive-in and claims to have the largest outdoor movie screen in the country. It runs a single screen from April through October, broadcasting sound on 105.3 FM. The theater is known for its strict rules about arrival times and phone use, keeping the experience focused on the movie. Its location off Route 40 makes it accessible from across the metro, including Towson, Essex, and Dundalk. For the rest of the state, Bengies is a destination worth the drive.
