Montana Drive-Ins
Montana has one drive-in theater, the Silver Bow Twin Drive-In west of Butte in the southwestern part of the state.
View All Drive-InsThe Silver Bow sits on German Gulch Road and has been open since 1977. It started with one screen and added a second in 1980, making it the first twin drive-in in the state. The lot fits nearly 500 cars. The season runs from May through September, with sound on FM radio.
Montana's short summer season and sparse population make drive-in operations tough, and the Silver Bow is now the state's only remaining location. Butte sits at about 5,500 feet elevation on the Continental Divide, so evenings cool off fast even in midsummer.
