Hawaii Drive-Ins

Hawaii has no permanent drive-in theaters. The state's last traditional drive-in closed in 1998, and the limited land availability on the islands makes a full-scale revival unlikely.

Occasional pop-up outdoor movie events operate on the islands, including seasonal screenings at Ala Moana in Honolulu and the Mauifest Drive-In on Maui, which shows one film per month on Saturday nights. These events offer a taste of the drive-in experience but are not permanent theaters with dedicated screens.
